BILL URQUHART
Founder / Designer
Bill is the brains behind the unique construction techniques and with many many years of experience, he’s always looking for ways to improve things.
One afternoon, gathered around our old kitchen table fondly recalling nostalgic childhood memories, it became clear we had inherited Dad’s building gene and his passion for country homes of yesteryear.
We began to scribble out the first concepts and design ideas that would later form the cornerstone of the family business you see today. Since 2004, we’ve been honing our craft of building country homes that capture the essence of country living and building a successful business with a passionate and dedicated team.
Quality built homes that celebrate the simple life and reflect the beauty of the landscape they are in. Our HPH dream is that you and your family will enjoy living the classic country lifestyle in homes that will last for generations. We’re here to help craft your place in the country.
Dawn very carefully and studiously keeps track of the money – the business would grind to a halt without her.
Director of first impressions, Vicki is always keen to help with her store of information – providing solutions and dispelling myths.
At the tender age of 18, our dad Bill, built his first house and hasn’t looked back since.
During the mid 1970’s Dad started a small carpentry enterprise and soon gained a reputation for being a stickler for detail and for doing jobs properly. He took great pride in bringing quality and craftsmanship to any project he undertook and when he built homes, they were built to last.
Motivated by Dad’s decades of know how and his desire to continually learn and improve things we created a set of building practices we call The Bill of Rights.
The Bill of Rights keeps us focused on what matters – maintaining our lofty work ethics, building standards and ensuring we deliver on our customers needs every step of the way.
